Pedestrian Dies after Struck by Vehicle while Walking Across Marked Crosswalk on Garfied Avenue

 
ALHAMBRA, CA (April 13, 2023) – A woman was killed in a pedestrian accident at Garfield Avenue and San Marino Avenue in Alhambra on Tuesday afternoon.
 
The fatal accident happened around 2:13 p.m. on April 11. According to the Alhambra Police Department, the woman was walking across a marked crosswalk when a vehicle attempting to make a left turn struck her.
 
The impact caused the woman critical injuries. She was rushed to a hospital, where she later died. Deputies only described her as someone between 60 to 65 years old.
 
Meanwhile, the driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and cooperated with police.
 
An investigation into this fatality is underway.
