Late Evening Crash Involving Van and SUV on 60 Freeway in Riverside Kills One

 
RIVERSIDE, CA (March 30, 2022) – A woman was killed in a multi-vehicle accident on 60 Freeway in Riverside, late Friday evening.
 
The accident happened around 11:33 p.m. on March 25 just west of Pyrite Street. According to the Riverside Sheriff’s Office, at least five vehicles including a gray van and a black SUV collided along the eastbound lanes of the freeway for unknown reasons.
 
When officers arrived, they located the van on the right shoulder, while the SUV was in the center divider. They also found the woman lying face down on the right shoulder.
 
Officers said the woman might have been ejected from the vehicle during the crash. The victim suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene.
 
At this time, the identity of the woman was not immediately available. It is also unclear if drugs or alcohol was involved.
 
The circumstances surrounding the accident remain under investigation.
