Altercation Inside Car Ends in Crash in Redondo Beach Killing the Driver

 
REDONDO BEACH, CA (November 14, 2023) – A woman was killed and Jacob Jordan Nimz was arrested after a crash in Redondo Beach Sunday morning on November 12.
 
The fatal crash happened around 9:35 a.m. at the intersection of Lilienthal and Alvord lanes, just west of Hawthorne Boulevard and north of 190th Street. According to the Redondo Beach Police Department, the woman was driving a car when she got involved in a physical altercation with Nimz, her 34-year-old passenger from North Dakota.
 
The altercation in the car ended in a crash, killing the woman.
 
Paramedics transported Nimz to a hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
 
Police later arrested Nimz on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon.
 
At this time, the identity of the deceased was withheld pending notification of her next of kin. Further investigation is underway.
