Woman Dies after Struck by Two Hit-and-Run Drivers on Morrill Avenue near Cataldi Park

 
SAN JOSE, CA (February 12, 2023) – A woman was killed in a hit-and-run crash at Morrill Avenue and Knights Bridge Road in San Jose Friday morning.
 
The fatal crash happened around 5:40 a.m. near Cataldi Park. According to the San Jose Police Department, the woman was walking across Morrill Avenue outside of a marked crosswalk when a dark-colored sedan traveling southbound struck her.
 
After the initial crash, a southbound full-size U-haul panel van also struck the victim.

Both drivers fled the scene without stopping.

The woman was taken to an area hospital with major injuries. She died shortly after arrival.

The Santa Clara County Medical Examiner-Coroner’s Office will release the woman’s identity once it is confirmed and her next of kin is notified.
