Fiery Crash on Wild Canyon Road in Lakeside Kills Driver and Injures the Passenger

 
LAKESIDE, CA (December 6, 2022) – A 26-year-old woman died in a fiery accident on Wildcat Canyon Road in Lakeside Sunday afternoon on December 4.
 
The accident happened around 4:30 p.m. at 12071 Wildcat Canyon Road near the Barona Resort and Casino and Muth Valley Road. According to the CHP, a BMW 325i was heading north when it veered to the right. It then went up an embankment, struck a tree and ended up in a ditch.
 
The woman driving the car was trapped in the wreckage and died at the scene. The San Diego County Medical Examiner’s Office withheld her identity at this time.
 
Meanwhile, the 29-year-old female passenger freed herself from the wreckage before the car burst into flames. She suffered moderate injuries and was taken to a hospital for treatment.
 
It is still unknown whether alcohol or drugs played a role in the crash. Further investigation is underway.
