81-Year-Old Man Dead in Forth Bragg Solo-Vehicle Accident on Highway 20

 
FORT BRAGG, CA (December 6, 2022) – An 81-year-old Willits man died in a solo-vehicle accident on Highway 20, Friday evening.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened on December 2, at about 7:45 p.m. For reasons still under investigation, an eastbound 2007 Cadillac left the road and went down a steep embankment.
 
Then, the vehicle overturned and struck multiple trees near mile marker 20 MEN 12.5.
 
Emergency crews pronounced the driver dead at the scene. Authorities withheld the identity of the victim, pending notification of next of kin.
 
As per reports, the driver was the sole occupant of the vehicle.
 
CHP continues to investigate the cause of the fatal accident. Officers will release additional information once it becomes available.
