Deadly Bicycle Accident on Cottonwood Avenue in Hesperia Involves Box Truck

 
HESPERIA, CA (July 28, 2021) – A woman was killed in a bicycle accident on Cottonwood Avenue in Hesperia Tuesday afternoon.
 
The accident happened around at 12:05 p.m., on July 27, just between Yucca and Main streets. According to the Hesperia Sheriff’s Station, the woman was riding a white bicycle when a white box delivery truck belonging to Armando’s Furniture hit her.
 
First responders located the box truck and the woman near the bicycle in the middle of the roadway. They provided medical aid to the woman, but the victim died at the scene.
 
The driver of the box truck and his passenger stopped and cooperated with officers.
 
Crews closed the roadway for several hours while they cleared the wreckage.
 
The cause and factors involved in this fatal accident remain under investigation.
