Pedestrian Dies after Struck by DUI Driver Angela Cline in Lompoc

 
LOMPOC, CA (July 31, 2022) – A woman died and police arrested Angela Rose Cline after a DUI pedestrian crash in Lompoc early Saturday morning, July 30.
 
The fatal crash happened around 1:49 a.m. in the 600 block of West Ocean Avenue. According to the Lompoc Police Department, the 42-year-old woman was walking on the roadway when a vehicle struck her.
 
Responding paramedics rushed the woman to a hospital, where the victim succumbed to her injuries.
 
Cline, 31 years old, was the driver of the vehicle. Police determined she was allegedly driving under the influence and arrested her.
 
Cline is facing felony charges for causing bodily injury while driving under the influence of alcohol and gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated.
 
The victim’s name was withheld pending notification of next of kin.
