Early Morning Two-Vehicle Accident on Stockdale Highway Kills 1 and Critically Injures 2

 
BAKERSFIELD, CA (November 22, 2021) – A woman died and two men suffered critical injuries after a two-vehicle accident on Stockdale Highway early Friday morning.
 
The accident happened around 12:09 a.m. on November 19, in the 14000 block of Stockdale Highway near Jenkins Road. According to the Bakersfield Police Department, a red Honda Civic and another vehicle collided for unknown reasons.
 
When officers arrived, they found three people in the Civic with severe injuries. They took all of them to a nearby hospital, where the female passenger died.
 
The male driver of the Civic was in critical condition, while the male passenger was treated for his critical injuries.
 
No other involved parties were injured.
 
At this time, it is unknown if alcohol or drugs played a role in the crash. But police said speeding appears to be a factor. Further investigation is underway.
