Merced Hit-and-Run Crash on R Street Leaves Pedestrian Injured

 
MERCED, CA (August 1, 2022) – A woman was injured in a pedestrian hit-and-run crash on R Street in Merced late Friday evening, July 29.
 
The crash happened around 11:19 p.m. in the 1700 block of R Street. According to the Merced Police Department, a vehicle ran over the female pedestrian who was crossing the street near the crosswalk.
 
After the crash, the driver of the vehicle fled the scene leaving the woman with unspecified injuries.
 
Paramedics transported the victim to an area trauma center and is in stable condition.
 
Police described the suspect vehicle as a dark green sedan with front-end damage. It was last seen going south on R Street toward West 16th Street.
