South Los Angeles Hit-and-Run on 110 Freeway Sends Officer to Hospital

 
LOS ANGELES, CA (August 1, 2022) – An LAPD motorcycle officer was injured in a hit-and-run crash on 110 Freeway in South Los Angeles on Friday evening.
 
The crash happened around 8:05 p.m. on July 29 near 105 Freeway. According to the Los Angeles Police Department, several vehicles collided along the southbound Harbor Freeway in unclear circumstances.
 
The impact of the crash caused the officer to be knocked off his motorcycle. He then struck the freeway’s center divider.
 
Paramedics transported the officer and another person to a hospital with unspecified injuries.
 
One of the vehicles involved fled the scene after the crash. Authorities described that vehicle as a white BMW convertible.
 
The crash is still under investigation.
