Pedestrian Suffers Fractured Pelvis after Hit by SUV on West Cedar Street in Little Italy

 
LITTLE ITALY, CA (January 29, 2024) – A 55-year-old woman was injured in a pedestrian accident at West Cedar Street and State Street in Little Italy on Saturday night.
 
The accident happened around 6:42 p.m. on January 27. According to the San Diego Police Department, a 53-year-old man was driving a 2003 GMC Yukon westbound on Cedar and stopped at a stop sign at the intersection. He did not see the female pedestrian and pulled forward and struck her.
 
Paramedics arrived and took the woman to a hospital for treatment of a fractured pelvis.
 
Officers said the crosswalk in the area was not marked and alcohol was not a factor in the crash.
 
San Diego police are still investigating the accident.
