SONORA, CA (March 20, 2024) — A woman suffered injuries in a pedestrian accident at Washington Street and Jackson Street.
 
According to reports, the pedestrian accident happened around 8:07 p.m. Saturday. Under unclear circumstances, a driver struck the 40-year-old female outside a marked crosswalk. As a result, she suffered minor injuries in the crash.
 
Minutes later, paramedics arrived at the scene to find her awake but confused and the driver of the black Chevy parked in front of a cafe.
 
Due to her condition, paramedics shuttled her to Adventist Health Sonora for treatment while police interviewed the driver at the scene. Following the crash, police made no citations or arrests. However, the case remains under investigation.
