FRESNO, CA (March 4, 2024) — A woman was injured in a pedestrian accident on Shaw Avenue near Marty Avenue.
 
According to Fresno Police, the pedestrian accident happened around midnight Saturday. For an unknown reason, a woman standing near the center divider stepped into oncoming traffic. Subsequently, a car heading eastbound on Shaw Avenue was unable to avoid her and struck her with the vehicle.
 
Minutes later, paramedics responded and brought the female pedestrian to Community Regional Medical Center for treatment. However, her condition is unknown at this time.
