Man Hospitalized in Hit-and-Run Pedestrian Crash on Home Avenue in San Diego

 
SAN DIEGO, CA (March 4, 2024) — A man suffered serious injuries in a hit-and-run pedestrian accident on Home Avenue near Ash Street.
 
According to San Diego Police, the hit-and-run happened around 11:25 p.m. Friday. For an unknown reason, a driver struck a male pedestrian outside a marked crosswalk. Subsequently, the driver left the scene without identifying him or herself.
 
Minutes later, a bystander who heard the crash spotted the victim in the road and called San Diego Police. Upon responding, paramedics took the injured man to a hospital for treatment of a brain bleed and lacerations to his head and hands.
