Woman Hurt in Pedestrian Crash at Morton Avenue in Porterville

 
PORTERVILLE, CA (May 2, 2023) — A woman was injured in a pedestrian accident at Morton Avenue and Prospect Street Friday morning.
 
According to Porterville Police officers, the pedestrian accident happened around 11:00 a.m. For an unknown reason, a 22-year-old woman traveling southbound on Prospect Street made a left turn onto Morton Avenue and struck the 47-year-old woman.
 
Soon after, officers arrived at the scene and found the woman lying on the south curb line with injuries. Paramedics responded and shuttled her to a hospital in stable condition.
 
As for the 22-year-old driver, she stayed at the scene and was not determined to be under the influence at the time. If anyone has more information on this pedestrian accident, please call the Porterville Police Department’s Major Accident Investigation Team (MAIT).
