FOWLER, CA (March 14, 2022) — A woman was injured in a multi-car accident on Highway 99 near Merced Street on Friday.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the multi-car crash happened around 3:00 a.m. Under unclear circumstances, a driver merging onto Highway 99 crashed into another vehicle in the slow lane.
 
Meanwhile, an oncoming semi-truck hit the k-rail water barrels in the center median after trying to avoid the two cars that had collided.
 
As a result of the accident, a woman suffered moderate injuries and sought hospital care shortly after. However, the other driver reportedly left the scene of the accident.
