Woman Injured in Eureka Hit-and-Run Pedestrian Accident on Pine Street

 
EUREKA, CA (March 26, 2021) — A woman was injured in a hit-and-run pedestrian accident on Pine Street at Hawthorne Street on March 18.
 
According to reports, the pedestrian incident happened around 9:10 p.m. As the 44-year-old woman began crossing the intersection, a driver attempting a left-hand turn subsequently struck her. Per surveillance footage, the car briefly stopped but drove away, neglecting to provide aid to the victim.
 
Soon after, paramedics and police arrived. According to reports, the woman sustained minor to moderate injuries.
 
At this time, the driver of what authorities believe was a light-colored Hyundai SUV has not come forward. However, if anyone has more information, please contact the Eureka Police Department.
