YREKA, CA (June 16, 2023) — A woman suffered major injuries in a hit-and-run pedestrian accident on Main Street near Turre Street in Yreka.
 
According to Yreka Police, the hit-and-run happened around 3:09 a.m. Tuesday. In the 1000 block of South Main Street, an unidentified driver struck a 28-year-old female while heading northbound. Shortly after, authorities believe a second vehicle hit the woman.
 
Both vehicles neglected to pull over and help the victim.
 
Moments later, an ambulance transported the woman to Fairfield Medical Center before bringing her to Mercy Redding.
