Melanie Dellard Arrested in DUI Crash on Highway 12 [Santa Rosa, CA]

DUI Driver Hurts Self and Two-Year-Old Son after Crashing into Light Pole in Santa Rosa

 
SANTA ROSA, CA (June 16, 2023) – Melanie Dellard was arrested in a DUI crash in Santa Rosa Tuesday afternoon on June 13.
 
The crash happened around 2:30 p.m. on Highway 12 at South Wright Road. According to the Santa Rosa Police Department, the 40-year-old suspect from Sebastopol was driving a white Audi SUV with her two-year-old son in the backseat when she crashed head-on into a light pole at a high rate of speed. The light pole was at the corner of South Wright Road.
 
As a result, both Dellard and her son suffered significant but non-life-threatening injuries.
 
Authorities later determined that Dellard was under the influence of prescription medication. They arrested her for felony driving under the influence causing injury and felony child endangerment.
 
Further investigation is underway.
