HESPERIA, CA (May 22, 2023) — A woman was injured after a car crashed and overturned on the 15 Freeway near Main Street.
 
According to reports, the single-vehicle crash happened around 12:02 p.m. Sunday. Reports say that a woman operating a silver Chevrolet Suburban was clipped by another SUV, causing her vehicle to veer to the right and overturn multiple times. As a result of losing control, the Suburban left the freeway and landed on its roof in the middle of Mariposa Road.
 
The woman, however, was able to crawl out of the passenger side window of the Chevy.
 
Minutes later, paramedics arrived and transported her to a local hospital in an unknown condition.
 
Authorities do not have information on the second vehicle that might have been involved in this crash since that driver left. However, if any witnesses would like to help traffic investigators, please call the California Highway Patrol Victorville office.
