Woman Dead in Pedestrian Crash on Blacow Road and Royal Palm Drive

 
FREMONT, CA (December 6, 2022) — One woman died after a pedestrian accident on Blacow Road on Friday, December 2.
 
According to the Fremont Police Department, at around 7:42 a.m., they received reports of the pedestrian crash near Blacow Road and Royal Palm Drive.
 
When officers arrived at the area, they found a pedestrian on the road with major injuries. Paramedics rushed her to a local hospital where she later died.
 
Police said the driver of the vehicle stayed at the scene and cooperated with the investigation.
 
FPD’s investigation determined the 41-year-old female pedestrian from Fremont was on the southeast corner of Blacow Road. She was waiting for the light to signal that she can already walk across the street. Police said once the signal changed, she began walking west on the crosswalk.
 
As she crossed the southbound side of Blacow Road, a vehicle driven by a 43-year-old woman struck her. Police said the driver did not show any signs or symptoms of intoxication.
