1 Dead, Vehicle Crashes Into Residence on Michigan Avenue in Fresno

 
FRESNO, CA (December 5, 2023) — A woman died after her car crashed into a tree and a home on Michigan Avenue near Maroa Avenue.
 
According to the Fresno Police Department, the fatal single-car crash happened Monday. For reasons that require further investigation, a woman lost control of her vehicle, crashed through a fence, struck a tree and plowed into the front yard of a home.
 
Soon after, Fresno Police Officers arrived, and crews extricated the female driver and her daughter from the wreckage before ushering them to a hospital. However, despite receiving life-saving efforts, the woman, a mother to the other occupant, passed away.
 
Following an investigation, officers believe the woman suffered a cardiac event while heading eastbound on Michigan Avenue.
