Woman Dies in Head-On Collision on Porter Creek Road

SONOMA COUNTY, CA (November 2, 2021) — A woman died in a head-on accident on Porter Creek Road near Franz Valley Road Saturday night.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal crash involved two cars around 10:00 p.m. For unknown reasons, a woman driving a Ford Fusion westbound veered into the opposing lane. Subsequently, the Ford collided with an eastbound Toyota Highlander on Porter Creek Road.
 
Due to the nature of the crash, the woman inside the Ford, the sole occupant, died at the scene.
 
Paramedics transported the female driver of the Toyota — as well as five children riding with her, ages eight to 12 — to a hospital.
 
At this time, the crash demands investigation, including if DUI played a role. Therefore, anyone with information should contact the CHP.
