Man Dies in Sun Valley Hit-and-Run Pedestrian Crash on Laurel Canyon Boulevard

 
SUN VALLEY, CA (November 2, 2021) — A man died in a hit-and-run pedestrian accident on Laurel Canyon Boulevard near Strathern Street.
 
According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the fatal accident happened around 10:35 p.m. Under unclear circumstances, a driver in a silver car heading northbound on Laurel Canyon Boulevard struck the pedestrian who was crossing outside of a marked crosswalk.
 
Rather than staying to render aid, the driver fled. Soon after, paramedics arrived and took the unidentified victim to a hospital where he died.
 
At this time, authorities have no word on a suspect. However, they are giving a reward of up to $50,000 to anyone with information that can lead to the arrest of the hit-and-run driver.
