Kate Tillman Killed, Rosa Cachu Injured in Head-On Car Crash in Sonoma County

 
SONOMA COUNTY, CA (November 17, 2021) — A woman died in a head-on accident on Porter Creek Road near Franz Valley Road on Saturday, October 30.
 
Police identified the victim as 30-year-old Cobb resident Kate Tillman, according to the Sonoma County Sheriff’s Office.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal crash happened around 10:00 p.m. on Porter Creek Road near the intersection of Franz Valley Road.
 
Investigators say Tillman was the driver of a Ford Fusion that was headed west when she drifted into the eastbound lane.
 
She collided head-on with an eastbound Toyota Highlander driven by Calistoga resident Rosa Cachu, according to the CHP. She had five passengers in the SUV who ranged in age from 8 to 12.
 
Tillman was pronounced dead at the scene.
 
Cachu and all five children were taken to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital for treatment of minor to moderate injuries.
 
The CHP asked that anyone with information about the collision call the Santa Rosa office at 707-588-1400.
