Woman Critically Injured in Traffic Accident at South State College Boulevard and East Walnut Avenue [Fullerton, CA]

Car Broadsides Tractor-Trailer on South State College Boulevard Leaving One in Critical Condition

 
FULLERTON, CA (April 6, 2024) – A woman was critically injured in a traffic accident at South State College Boulevard and East Walnut Avenue in Fullerton early Thursday morning.
 
The accident happened around 4:19 a.m. on April 4. According to the Fullerton Police Department, a tractor-trailer combination was traveling northbound on South State College Boulevard and in the process of making a left turn onto Walnut Avenue, when a black Honda Civic broadsided it.
 
When officers arrived, they located the Civic underneath the rear of the tractor-trailer. The female driver and sole occupant of the car was still in the driver’s seat.
 
Responding firefighters extricated the woman and began life-saving measures before transporting her to a local trauma hospital in critical condition.
 
Meanwhile, the 52-year-old driver of the semi-truck stayed on scene and cooperated with police.
 
At this time, it is unknown whether drugs or alcohol played a factor in the crash. Further investigation is underway.
