Two Rescued after Car Slams into Power Pole on Bear Mountain Road in Shasta County

 
SHASTA COUNTY, CA (September 8, 2022) — A woman and a child were rescued after a car crashed into a power pole on Bear Mountain Road near Tamera Way.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the single-car accident happened around 2:40 a.m. on Wednesday. For unknown reasons, a Dodge Ram pickup crashed into a power pole. Soon after, emergency personnel and PG&E reported to the scene to de-energize the line before rescuing the child and woman from the pickup.
 
Their condition is unavailable at this time.
 
By 5:00 a.m., nearby residents faced a power outage before crews were able to work on the damaged power pole. By 9:30 a.m., PG&E was able to restore the power.
