Two Woman Killed in Firebaugh Big Rig Accident on Russell Avenue and Shields Avenue

 
FIREBAUGH, CA (October 25, 2022) — Two women died after a big rig crash on Russell Avenue on Monday, October 24.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident occurred at about 4:30 p.m. near Russell Avenue and Shields Avenue.
 
Officers said the driver of a Toyota did not appear to stop at a stop sign. After that, a big rig struck it.
 
Two women inside the Toyota succumbed to fatal injuries at the scene. Medics rushed the driver to the hospital with major injuries.
 
The big rig driver was not injured.
 
Officers said drugs or alcohol do not appear to have contributed to the incident at this time.
 
CHP continues to investigate the crash.
