TULARE, CA (May 25, 2021) – Emergency crews transported two people to the hospital following a hit-and-run crash on Levin Avenue in the morning of May 20.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened at the intersection of Spruce Street.
 
Based on a report, a GMC Yukon was traveling on the road at an unknown rate of speed prior to the crash. For unknown reasons, the driver lost control of the vehicle. Subsequently, it slammed into one house. Then, it came to a rest inside another house next door. The driver took off running while police caught the passenger who also tried to escape.
 
As a result, two elderly women were trapped inside the first house. Tulare firefighters transported them to the hospital for significant and minor injuries.
