Crash Involving 3 Semi-Trucks on Highway 58 east of Keene Sends 2 to Hospital with Life-Threatening Injuries

 
KEENE, CA (September 26, 2022) – Two people were seriously injured in a three-vehicle accident on Highway 58 east of Keene early Tuesday morning, September 20.
 
Just before 1:30 a.m., the Kern County Fire Department responded to a traffic collision involving three semi trucks. The cab of one of the semi-trucks crashed into the trailer of another.
 
When officers arrived, they found two people suffering from life-threatening injuries, one of which was pinned inside the cab.
 
Firefighters were able to successfully free the trapped person. After extrication, they took the two patients to a local hospital for proper treatment.
 
At this time, the exact cause of the crash and factors involved remain under investigation.
