Two People Dead in Angeles National Forest Car Accident on Highway 2

 
ANGELES NATIONAL FOREST, CA (March 29, 2021) — Two people were killed in a car crash on Highway 2 near mile marker 33.40 Saturday morning.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the single-car accident happened in the Angeles National Forest around 1:00 a.m. For unknown reasons, a man driving in a 2014 Chevrolet Cruze failed to navigate a curve in the road. Subsequently, the car traveled in a northwesterly direction off the road and toward an ascending hillside. As a result, the Chevy overturned on its roof partially blocking the eastbound lane.
 
Unfortunately, the man and woman inside the Chevy died after the car caught on fire.
