Two Officers Hurt in Riverside DUI Crash on Van Buren Boulevard

 
RIVERSIDE, CA (March 30, 2021) — Two officers were injured in a DUI accident on Van Buren Boulevard near Wells Avenue.
 
According to the Press-Enterprise, the crash happened after the suspected driver collided with multiple cars in a McDonald’s drive-thru. Shortly after, the 36-year-old Riverside woman began driving southbound on Van Buren Boulevard. Subsequently, she veered into oncoming traffic and collided head-on with two patrol vehicles.
 
As a result, two officers sustained unspecified injuries and required hospital care.
 
As of now, the woman may face charges of assault and DUI. However, any witnesses with more information on this accident should contact the department.
