High-Speed Crash on D Avenue in National City Leaves Two Men Dead

 
NATIONAL CITY, CA (April 7, 2024) – Two men were killed in a high-speed crash on D Avenue in National City late Friday evening on April 5.
 
The fatal crash happened around 10:50 p.m. near 18th Street. According to the National City Police Department, a man was driving a vehicle northbound on D Avenue at a high rate of speed when he crashed into two parked cars, causing his vehicle to overturn.
 
As a result of the crash, both the driver and his male passenger died at the scene. Their identities were withheld at this time.
 
It is unknown if drugs or alcohol played a factor in the crash. An investigation is underway.
