Collision with Big Rig on 5 Freeway in Woodland Leaves 2 Men Dead

 
WOODLAND, CA (July 18, 2022) – Two men died in a big rig accident on 5 Freeway in Woodland on Friday, July 15.
 
The accident happened around 6:50 a.m. just south of County Road 69. According to the California Highway Patrol, a Dodge pickup truck and the big rig collided for unknown reasons.
 
As a result, the two men inside the Dodge died at the scene. They were both Redding residents.
 
The big rig driver from Tehachapi was unhurt.
 
Neither drugs nor alcohol played a role in the crash. The CHP Woodland’s Office asked anyone with further information to call them at (530) 662-4685.
