Traffic Accident on San Vicente Road in Ramona Kills 21-Year-Old Driver and 13-Year-Old Passenger

 
RAMONA, CA (February 9, 2024) – Two people died in a traffic accident on San Vicente Road in Ramona Thursday afternoon on February 8.
 
The fatal accident happened around 4:45 p.m. near Wildcat Canyon Road. According to the California Highway Patrol, a 21-year-old man was driving a 2007 Toyota Scion TC westbound on San Vicente Road. At that same time, a 61-year-old woman was driving a 2018 Dodge Durango eastbound on San Vicente Road and was approaching the Toyota.
 
For unknown reasons, the driver of the Toyota drove over the painted double yellow lines into the eastbound lane of San Vicente Road. It caused the front of the Dodge to strike the right passenger door of the Toyota.
 
As a result of the crash, the driver of the Toyota and the his front seat passenger, a 13-year-old boy, both died at the scene.
 
Meanwhile, paramedics took the driver of the Dodge to a local hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
 
At the time of the crash, the roadway was wet from rain. The circumstances of the crash remain under investigation.
