Two Vehicles Involved in Rear-End Crash on McHenry Avenue in Modesto
MODESTO, CA (July 29, 2021) – Two people suffered injuries in a rear-end crash on McHenry Avenue on July 26.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened at Almond Avenue around 8:42 AM.
Based on reports, a northbound bus had pulled to the curb at a bus bench at Almond. Then, a Toyota Camry failed to stop behind it, rear-ending the bus.
As a result, two people were hurt in the incident. Paramedics took the victims to nearby Doctors Medical Center for treatment. Police said the patients are the driver of the Toyota Camry and a passenger on the MAX bus.
Also, the front of the car sustained major damage and the airbag deployed.
Consequently, the crash blocked the northbound right lane and traffic proceeded slowly in the left lane.
At this point, this crash on McHenry Avenue is still under investigation by Modesto Police.
Avoid distractions when driving. However, focus on the road. Slow down in intersections and do not tailgate other vehicles to prevent a rear-end crash. In addition, always follow speed limits.
