Small Plane Crashes at John Wayne Airport in Santa Ana Injuring Woman and 16-Year-Old Boy

 
SANTA ANA, CA (February 12, 2024) – Two people were injured in a plane crash at John Wayne airport in Santa Ana Sunday morning on February 11.
 
Around 10:30 a.m., firefighters and paramedics were dispatched to 18601 Airport Way. According to the Orange County Fire Authority, the Evektor Harmony, a two-seater aircraft, crashed on the northeastern part of the field.
 
A 20-year-old woman and a 16-year-old boy were occupants of the small plane. Rescuers took them to a hospital with unspecified injuries.
 
It was not immediately known if the aircraft was taking off or landing when it crashed. It was also unclear who was piloting the airplane.
