Speeding SUV Crashes on Sunset Cliffs Boulevard in Ocean Beach, Driver Flees Scene Leaving 2 Passengers with Cuts and Bruises

 
OCEAN BEACH, CA (June 21, 2023) – Two passengers were hurt in a hit-and-run crash on Sunset Cliffs Boulevard in Ocean Beach late Sunday evening on June 18.
 
According to the San Diego Police Department, the crash happened around 11:45 p.m. in the 2900 block of Sunset Cliffs Boulevard. A black SUV was traveling at a high rate of speed when it drove through an intersection. It then struck a wall and some trees.
 
After the crash, the driver fled the scene leaving his two passengers behind.
 
A witness ran to the wreckage to help the passengers inside the SUV.
 
Both passengers sustained some cuts and bruises. One of them told officers they were being driven home from a club.
 
At this time, police are still investigating the crash and on the lookout for the hit-and-run suspect.
