Crash Involving Bakersfield Police Vehicle on New Stine Road Injures One Driver

 
BAKERSFIELD, CA (June 21, 2023) – One person was hurt in a two-vehicle accident on New Stine Road in southwest Bakersfield Sunday afternoon on June 18.
 
The accident happened around 12:43 p.m. near Sundale Avenue. According to the Bakersfield Police Department, a police officer was driving their patrol vehicle northbound on New Stine Road when another vehicle made an unsafe lane change crashing into the police vehicle.
 
As a result, the driver of the other vehicle suffered unspecified injuries and was taken to Kern Medical for treatment.
 
The officer and an arrestee were unharmed.
 
The crash also caused damage to the police vehicle’s front right side.
