Injuries Sustained in Two-Vehicle Crash on Jamacha Road in El Cajon

 
EL CAJON, CA (July 25, 2022) – Paramedics transported two people to the hospital after a two-vehicle crash on Jamacha Road on July 23.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened at approximately 11:55 AM.
 
Based on a report, a Toyota was trying to turn from eastbound Jamacha Road prior to the crash. Due to unknown reasons, a Chevrolet slammed into the vehicle. The impact flipped the Toyota, trapping the female driver inside.
 
As a result, it took approximately 30 minutes for emergency crews to cut the roof from the Toyota and to extricate the woman. She sustained major injuries in the incident. Crews rushed her and another person in the Chevrolet to Sharp Memorial Hospital for treatment.
 
In addition, crews with San Miguel Fire and Rescue said there were other two patients who declined hospitalization.
 
At this point, an investigation is ongoing. Also, other details are not yet clear at this time.
