Officer Hurt after Stolen Vehicle Accident on 805 Freeway near Highway 905 in San Diego

 
SAN DIEGO, CA (July 25, 2022) – Three people sustained injuries in a stolen vehicle accident on 805 Freeway on Thursday evening.
 
According to the San Diego Police Department, the incident happened on July 21 at about 7:40 p.m. Officers received a call about a stolen truck speeding on Highway 94.
 
SDPD attempted to pull over the white truck, but the woman continued to drive away from the officers. As per reports, the driver switched multiple freeways before exiting Highway 54 at Highland Avenue.
 
A short time later, the vehicle intentionally crashed into three SDPD vehicles. Then, the driver re-entered 805 Freeway and slammed into the rear of a blue Tesla near the Highway 905 split.
 
The impact of the crash ejected the driver onto the roadway. Two SDPD vehicles then collided in an attempt to avoid hitting the ejected driver. Meanwhile, the stolen vehicle overturned and landed in a ditch.
 
Emergency crews transported the driver and a passenger in the stolen vehicle to local hospitals. An officer also complained of pain and sought treatment after the investigation.
 
SDPD continues to investigate the accident.
