Morning Two-Car Crash on Highway 162 in Glenn County Sends 2 People to Hospital

 
GLENN COUNTY, CA (May 17, 2023) – Two people were hospitalized after a two-car accident on Highway 162 in Glenn County Tuesday morning on May 16.
 
According to the CHP, the accident happened near Cherry Street when a Cadillac SRX drifted off the south side of the roadway, over-corrected and lost control.
 
The driver of a Honda CR-V tried to avoid the out-of-control Cadillac, but crashed into it.
 
As a result of the crash, two passengers of the Cadillac were transported to the hospital with unspecified injuries. One woman was taken to Enloe Medical Center by ground ambulance while a child was flown to UC Davis.
 
Crews closed the highway for about an hour while rescue operation was conducted.
 
The California Highway Patrol is still investigating the accident.
