Motorcyclist Dies in Crash after Trying to Pass Car on Skyline Boulevard

 
SANTA CRUZ MOUNTAINS, CA (May 17, 2023) – Eric Hull man was killed in a motorcycle accident in the Santa Cruz Mountains Saturday morning on May 13.
 
The accident happened around 9:30 a.m. on Skyline Boulevard, about two and a half miles south of Page Mill Road. According to the California Highway Patrol, Hull was riding his motorcycle southbound behind a Toyota 4Runner on the two-lane road. He attempted to pass the SUV just as its driver started to make a left turn into a driveway. The motorcycle sideswiped the SUV, went off the road and hit a tree.
 
Hull suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene. He was 58 years old of Boulder Creek.
 
The CHP said alcohol or drugs did not play a role in the crash, which is still under investigation.
