Lanes Closed after Two-Vehicle Accident on Highway 101 near Reservoir Canyon Road

 
CUESTA GRADE, CA (January 8, 2024) – Two people sustained injuries in a broadside accident on Highway 101, Friday evening.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened on January 5, at about 7:34 p.m. A 2021 Toyota Corolla was stopped at a stop sign at the intersection of Reservoir Canyon Road and Highway 101.
 
The Toyota then attempted to make a left-hand turn onto southbound Highway 101 and broadsided a northbound Honda Civic.
 
Two people inside the Toyota sustained injuries and needed hospitalization. Updates on their conditions remain undisclosed.
 
Responders closed the No. 2 southbound lane to make way for clearing operations.
 
CHP continues to investigate the cause of the accident. Officers will release additional information once it becomes available.
