Two Killed in Two-Vehicle Accident on Corcoran Road near McCombs Road

 
WASCO, CA (October 18, 2022) — Two people died and three suffered injuries in a two-car crash on Corcoran Road on Monday, October 17.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened at about 6:40 p.m. on Corcoran Road, north of Highway 46.
 
A CHP investigation determined that an Infiniti G37 traveled southbound on Corcoran Road. At the same time, a man from Lost Hills drove a Kia Spectra northbound on Corcoran Road.
 
For undetermined reasons, the driver of the Infiniti allowed his vehicle to move into the northbound lane. It went directly into the path of the Kia. This caused the left front side of the Infiniti to hit the left front side of the Kia.
 
The Kia spun around and came to a stop on the right shoulder. The Infiniti continued across the southbound lane. After that, it crashed into a barbed wire fence.
 
The driver and rear passenger of the Kia succumbed to their injuries at the scene. The driver of the Infiniti had major injuries. In addition, the two other people had moderate injuries. Paramedics rushed the injured to a nearby hospital.
 
The Kern County Coroner’s Office has not released the identity of those who died in the crash.
