Pedestrian Hit, Killed by Three Vehicles on Highway 280 in San Jose

 
SAN JOSE, CA (October 18, 2022) – A pedestrian was found dead following an accident on Highway 280 on Friday evening.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened on October 14 at about 10:20 p.m. For reasons still under investigation, a pedestrian attempted to cross Highway 280.
 
Then, a southbound 2001 Chevrolet Tahoe hit the pedestrian near Wolfe Road. As per reports, a Toyota Corolla and an unidentified third vehicle also hit the downed victim.
 
Emergency crews pronounced the pedestrian dead at the scene. Authorities withheld the identity of the victim, pending notification of next of kin.
 
Meanwhile, the Chevrolet driver and the Toyota driver remained and cooperated with investigators.
 
CHP continues to investigate the cause of the fatal accident. Officers will release additional information once it becomes available.
