Two Killed, One Hospitalized after Six-Vehicle Crash on 405 Freeway near 605 Freeway

SEAL BEACH, CA (February 21, 2022) — Two people died in a six-vehicle accident on 405 Freeway on Sunday, February 20.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash happened on the San Diego (405) Freeway and the San Gabriel River (605) Freeway just before 1:30 a.m.
 
Firefighters and paramedics rushed to the area at 1:32 a.m. and reported two people died at the scene.
 
Paramedics brought one critically injured person to a hospital. They also evaluated two people at the scene that chose to not be brought to an area hospital.
 
Authorities said that a wrong-way motorist may have caused the incident.
 
Officials continue to investigate the crash.
