High-Speed Chase Involving Stolen Car with 2 Children Ends in Crash on 605 Freeway in Whittier

 
WHITTIER, CA (June 10, 2023) – Two children were involved in a high-speed chase on 605 Freeway in Whittier Thursday morning on June 8.
 
The chase started in the Bellflower and Lakewood area around 11:00 a.m. According to the Whittier Police Department, the driver of a reported stolen vehicle with two children as passengers led authorities on a pursuit.
 
The driver fled northbound on 605 Freeway and crashed near the Rose Hills Road off-ramp. The vehicle then rolled down a small embankment that connected to a parking lot.
 
At the scene, paramedics treated two women and two small children with unspecified injuries.
 
An investigation into this crash is underway.
