Rollover Crash on Royal Avenue in Simi Valley Leaves 1 with Major Injuries

 
SIMI VALLEY, CA (June 10, 2023) – One person was seriously injured in a rollover accident on Royal Avenue in Simi Valley Wednesday afternoon on June 7.
 
The accident happened just after 4:15 p.m. at Vaquero Drive. According to the Ventura County Fire Department and Simi Valley Police Department, a red Chevrolet Cobalt with two people inside overturned and ended up on its roof in a grassy area next to a tree.
 
Firefighters extricated one person, using struts and airbags to stabilize the overturned car. That person was taken by ambulance to Los Robles Regional Medical Center with major injuries but non-life-threatening injuries.
 
Another person was able to get out of the car on their own and only sustained minor injuries.
 
The cause of the crash was still under investigation.
